believe. begin. become.

Hi! Welcome to my believe. begin. become. blog! My name is Debbie Brummitt and I am a 500-hour RYT professional. I enjoy teaching my students and giving them the best class that I can teach. And maybe, just maybe, add a little encouragement or a smile in their day! Namaste!

One of my favorite quotes is this quote by Henry Ford:

When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.

Henry Ford

Most things that we do in life that will give us the most satisfaction are not going to be super easy. The process of achieving any goal will have challenges and, maybe, a really rough stretch. But the result of this long process is satisfaction and personal growth. It is important to hold the vision, no matter how difficult it may be, and trust the process.

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

Marie Curie

I started the YogaWorks 200-hour RYT in May 2017. Four months later, I started the 300-hour professional program. The 200-hour RYT was an opportunity to invest in myself, starting my path to find my strengths, improve my weaknesses, become a teacher of yoga, and discover the best version of me. It was a process of removing negative thoughts about who I am, and replacing those with positive. The 300-hour RYT professional program deepened the process, and dug deeper beneath the layers of adverse cultural conditioning that had negatively impacted me. Every difficult road leads to a discovery to a new part of you, a part that was never lost, only buried.

The 200-hour was a significant milestone for me. It helped me realize what I needed to do for myself. I took my first tiny step onto the self-improvement journey. The 300-hour RYT professional program was a continuation of that journey; me realizing my passion and doing something about it.

The path from dreams to success does exist. May you have the vision to find it, the courage to get on to it, and the perseverance to follow it.

Kalpana Chawla

I have grown a lot, over the past year, not changing beyond myself, only finding and replacing negative parts. I have discovered hidden positive aspects and released them to shine, and not be dimmed by what the world thinks of me. Now, I want to share that with my students and help them discover and grow. Reach to your fullest and never let the world change you from who you were meant to be. You’re Perfectly You!
